In 2015, I won the Eastern North American Irish Fiddle Competition and qualified to compete at the All-Ireland Fiddle Competition in Sligo, Ireland. However, I did not have the funds to make the trip possible. I ran a crowdfunding campaign online, and one of the “perks” of donating money to my trip fund was receiving an original tune composed by yours truly. The campaign was a success, and these are the eight tunes I was commissioned to write.
